Christian Salvesen PLC, a Major European logistics company, has chosen the FM&C People Performance Management / Time & Attendance solution from Crown Computing.
Running on a centralised IBM AS/400 platform, the system supports the 80 + sites in the UK and streamlines the collection of attendance data for a workforce of 8500 people. The solution also includes the FM&C Activity Management module, which will provide Christian Slavesen with both activity and productivity information supporting their drive for efficiency gains through the monitoring of KPIs.
The solution needed to be packaged as much as possible to obviate the need for tailoring in order to facilitate the system "going live" within a given period of time. The chosen supplier also had to demonstrate extensive maintenance and support functions to satisfy customer requirements now and into the future.
The system interfaces into Christian Slavesen's PS Enterprise payroll and HR solution from Rebus Software.
Crown Computing's solutions supports all key requirements for mobile workers, the Logistics, Freight & Haulage industry including the ability to support Annualised Hours, record "Available Hours", maximise Driver Hours, support Legislative compliance (Corporate Manslaughter, Working Time Directive and the Road Transport Directive) and accept inputs from Digital Tachographs
